Dementia Daily Diary (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

- Your diary entries and caregiving records are never sold or externally shared

- Your diary entries and personal caregiving records are never shared
When you share information:
- Shared users are granted view-only access to selected information within the app
- Shared users do not receive ownership or independent copies of the data
- Shared users cannot edit, modify, or re-share the information within the app
4. Shared Data Between Users
The app allows you to share selected information with other users (such as family members, trusted friends, or caregivers).
- Sharing is completely controlled by you
- Only the information you choose is shared
- Shared users are granted view-only access to the information
Shared users:
- Cannot edit, modify, or delete the shared data
- Cannot re-share the information within the app
Important:
- Shared data is not copied to other user accounts
- Access to shared data is controlled by the primary account holder
- If you remove access or delete your account, shared users will no longer have access to the data
Shared access is intended for viewing purposes only and should not be considered a transfer of ownership.
5. Anonymous Health Statistics
We may use anonymized and aggregated data to improve the app and better understand caregiving trends.
- This data will not identify you personally
- Participation will always be optional
- You will be given a clear opt-in or opt-out choice
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the app’s functionality.
If you delete your account or app:
- We may retain anonymous statistical data only for research and improvement purposes
- Your personal data will be deleted
- Any shared access to your data will be removed when your account is deleted
7. Minimum Age Requirement
This app is intended for users 18 years of age or older.
We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access your data
- Update or correct your information
- Delete your data (see Section 9)
9. Deleting Your Data
You may delete your data at any time by:
- Using the Delete Account option within the app
Upon deletion:
- Only anonymized, non-identifiable statistical data may be retained
- All personal and identifiable data will be permanently removed
- Any shared users will lose access to your data upon deletion of your account
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. App Store Compliance
This app complies with applicable platform requirements, including Apple App Store and Google Play policies:
- We provide clear disclosure of data collection and usage
- We do not sell personal data
- Users can request deletion of their data
- Any data used for analytics or research is anonymized and optional
12. Future Features
We may introduce features that allow users to designate a trusted individual to manage or access information in certain situations (such as account inactivity or caregiver transition).
